What Can I Expect?

The ETHEREA IPL-Sq is a colour correction procedure that has different effects depending on the target. When treating broken capillaries, rosacea and general redness the light rays target the oxyhaemoglobin in the blood vessels, sealing the vessel which clears and reduces their appearance on the skin.

When treating spots or patches of pigment the IPL-Sq’s bursts of light target the darkened areas causing it to heat up and then break down. A process known as photothermolysis then occurs where the treated areas can initially darken as they start to break down and then begin to flake off.

During the procedure clients can feel a heat sensation that varies with the area and energy setting though it is minimal thanks to the IPL-Sq’s adjustable contact cooling system.
